My work is influenced by Arabic geometric patterns as well as Arabic calligraphy writing. Im combining these aspects to create a piece that depicts a Burka and Eyes. The Burka starts out black and will fade into geometric patterns and calligraphy. This peices is Multi media as it combines watercolor, pencil, pens, and collaging.
I think that this is a great start and I especially like the contrast that you are making between geometric shapes and more subtle forms. If you want to keep working with the idea of collage, I think that you should repeat some of the patterns and writing that you already have. Also, I think that adding a figure to the piece could really enhance it a lot.up to you though.
ReplyDeleteI really like the mixture of the blue shades and how the left piece is stylized to incorporate symbols and patterns. I appreciate your attention to detail and how the black symbols stand out against the geometric pattern.
