Zoe's artshare blog

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHH9MvoTpFQ

This is a really cool time lapse video of a colored pencil eye. There is so much detail!

Time lapse video of a big painting, I found it inspiring when thinking about how I should paint my large painting

Community art time!

Abbey's artshare post

I think this video is very interesting since it shows how you can turn something as simple as a sidewalk into artwork. I also thought it was cool since it was made through a bunch of layers and the techniques used can apply to the work we do in class.

Caroline's artshare post

This video is of a realistic eye painting. This is good for me because i love drawing eyes and it helps me to try and make them more realistic. it also helps me to draw the eye for the leopard I’m drawing at the moment.

This is a video os a person drawing a leopard. This helps me see what materials people use to draw leopards so this can help me draw mine. It also helps me see how to draw the spots in a realistic way.

Taiwan Street Performer

This video of a Taiwan street performer is really incredible, like my other video, it shows how important the process is to the piece of work. The product would not hold nearly as much value if you didn't get the shock value, which is a really cool way to make your art special and unique.

Clay Wheel

This video is so cool, it is mesmerizing to watch, once you start you can't stop watching, and I'm sure the artist feels the same way looking at her work. This video is very different from other art videos because the finished product is not as cool as the process. It is definitely the journey that makes the art, not the destination.

Isabella artshare video

1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxJIAA7prwk
Here are my two artshare videos. I couldn't post it to the blog myself. I have found pottery very interesting lately and I found these two videos that are really cool and thought it was fun to share.

Watercolor painting

I found this video interesting to watch. The artist shows the amount of detail that is necessary in her watercolor paintings.

Artshare from Katie Valle

Here is my video upload for art:

I chose this because I was surprised by how realistic the finished product looked even though it was done in water color, which is something I feel is used more for landscapes. I loved the highlight in the eye with the reflection of the lashes, and how shiny it looked even though it was dry. Something I took away was the technique she used where she would paint with a lot of water in order to help blend the colors. It worked really well for her and I think it is something that could benefit my piece.
Thanks!
Katie Valle

Art Share Katherine Brown

Speed painting portrait

I thought this was really cool and showed the process of painting well. I liked the complexities of the shadows and lights.

Kylie Burkus art share

This video was very inspiring towards me because of the way he was painting. I found it very interesting and untraditional the techniques he used. I also liked the color scheme he was using throughout his paintings. He used watercolor in a different way that I can learn from and use in my watercolor painting.

Art Shares Video (Lucas Schwallie)

1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYq1pHJYQmw

I really liked this video because it included art with a drink.  It showed you how to make some coffee look pretty which is really cool.  I also liked the techniques this artist used by dripping milk into the coffee.

2)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o11AsCdVlMA

This video was cool because it used perspective to make the art look realistic.  The sharp darks and whits combined with the mid tones helped pop out the art.

3D Illusion Video

https://drive.google.com/a/my.weston.org/file/d/0B3uT8TKquscARG5Vb04tZGdJejQ/view

This video shows 3D drawing. I thought this was very cool because most of the stuff we see in high school art is 2D and very done by the book. This differed and was very intriguing.
