Here's a Cool panorama photo of the Middle School Art show!

One of my Favorite Pieces!!

I thought I would share with you guys a photo of one of my favorite pieces! It reminds me of what a lot of you guys are doing with your paper sculpture. This piece was for my 2D design class in college, we had to choose a famous piece of artwork, and recreate it only using white drawing paper. If you can't tell I chose Starry Night by Van Gogh! :)

Here's Some Photos from our Spring Decorating of the Courtyard!!

If anyone is interested in making yarn balls, or any other decorative pieces to hang in the courtyard and brighten up our "Secret Garden" Let me, or Mrs. Hom know! I'd love to brighten up the area!! :)

Commisioned illustration

Thom from Woodland school is looking for an artist to create a commissioned illustration of himself and three of his friends (with their portraits replacing the ones on Mt. Rushmore) I was wondering if you knew of any students at the high school who might be interested in this opportunity. He has photos he can send as source material, he can also give you a little more background on what he is looking for if you know of anyone. Maybe someone who is growing into a cartoonist? I can also get you in-touch with him if you would like.

Greece Print in Progress

Here are three croquis (fashion figures) that I watercolored a while ago and now I am working on the following Greece inspired print on photoshop (:

Current Fashion Projects

1. A silk fabric I found that was a perfect merge of two cultures. I made a Japanese inspired kimono out of a fabric that reminded me a lot of Make Way For Ducklings. This classic children's book reflects the culture of Boston as well as my personal history because I had a Make Way for Ducklings mural painted on the walls of my bedroom when I was a kid.
2 and 3. A freshwater pearl embroidered white dress with puffy sleeves inspired by the 20's. I wanted to make something that was my take on a mens business shirt.

Me in Times Square!

Here's me in time's square this weekend!! Doesn't it look like I've been photoshopped in? I thought it was funny :)

I was at Norwell High School this past weekend for the drama festival, and found these student copies of famous paintings. They reminded me of the project that Art 2 was just assigned because the students copied the artist's techniques. I found out that Norwell High was designed by a prison architect and so to liven the building up, art students painted copies of famous works all over the walls.
