My idea was to create a series of rock formations that have a semi-natural quality to them. I want to keep my drawings as minimal as possible, as to not over-decorate and therefore making my drawing cluttered. My next step would be to continue what I am doing and hopefully have 5 or six drawing ready to go in the next few months.

  1. Kevin,

Think about how the natural rock formations can relate to (your interest in architecture) an architectural environment or space? Could these rock bubbles become an architectural form? If so, how? I suggest checking out your inspirational images to see if there are any images that can bridge the gap.

  2. All of the pieces you are working on seem to be very similar in terms of utilizing space. I think this is a very intriguing idea and one that you should definitely develop more. Maybe for your most recent piece you should try adding additional layers (both transparent and non-transparent) in order to create more depth. Great work!
