I'm working now with mixed materials. Starting with a water color base and then adding tissue paper and cray pas. I'm trying to make a series with similar materials and a color scheme. I was inspired by other images of water color. The color scheme was inspired by mountains, and ice, especially glaciers.
I like the two pieces together because they are so similar but so different
ReplyDeleteMaybe make this more mixed media-ish. For example, add in some sewing or metal (wire) work.

ReplyDeleteConsider what actual images you would like to incorporate into your abstract piece. The images that you choose can be subtle. Refer to your inspiration board and see if their are images with similar texture, colors, forms, etc. Also, look for artist who you are inspired by who works similarly. Consider looking at the other Art 3,4 class work as well.
