Process pieces
My process began with inspiration from nature. More specifically, I decided to focus on the movement of vines and weeds. I started my process pieces by mimicking the free growth of vine. I am continuing to add layers using ink, pen, and paint. I prefer to work in neutral colors as my work is inspired by nature. I do not have a clear idea for the finished products of these pieces just as nature has no limits.

  1. I really like the design! Rather than putting it straight up against a background though, maybe consider layering it and creating cool fading effects and things like that. You can definitely develop these pieces more.

  2. You are working with some very cool textures and there is a clear connection between all of these pieces. I think that it would be really interesting if you continued this series using other materials or maybe even sculpture.

  3. Have you considered chipping away at the modeling paste to see if you can create a reductive carving? Also, is the water bottle drawing consistent with your theme or process? Now is a good time to determine which drawings you would like to further develop into final product.
