For your painting, create more of an atmospheric cloudscape with faster brush movement and a variety of thick and thin paint. Consider part of the background, especially closer to the horizon line more fuzzed out.

Lia, you use such vibrant colors, and do so in such a tasteful way! The mirroring of colors between the deep red of the sunset and the deep reds of the clouds gives great balance and completion to your composition. Your paper cutting is also beautiful in its simplicity and delicacy. Nice job pulling off white on white!
I really like your landscape painting, the use of the warm colors in the cool part of the sky is really striking, the brush strokes add a lot of character to the piece. I think the orange/black parts towards the bottom of the painting should be more hazy and less sharp. Keep up the great work!
