This work will be a part of the WESTON 300 art show on June 1st in the New Science Wing.
Please come prepared with the following:
1. At least 3 completed works from this year. A series of work is considered 1 completed work. Some options: mixed media, cubist inspired, portfolio exploration, etc.
2. Artist statement about overall approach to your work. May look at art process page for guidance.
Artist statement: Please type up and hand in to Mr. Gentel
Begin with a simple statement of why you do
the work you do. Support that statement, telling the reader more about
your goals and aspirations.
Tell the reader how you make decisions in
the course of your work. How and why do you select materials,
techniques, themes? Keep it simple and tell the truth.
Tell the reader a little more about your
current work. How it grew out of prior work or life experiences. What
are you exploring, attempting, challenging by doing this work.
3. Inspiration board shares: Share your blog or website updated with new inspirations and include your artist statement.
