From Painting Blind exhibition: All four artist found ways to get around their own habits or styles as well as the social norms of art, painting with their eyes closed; working on the floor;in the middle of large canvas;forcing immediacy through fast working methods or repeated returns to the same subjecy; painting inverted figures;finding new and awkward techniques, from left-handed drawing to sculpting with a chainsaw;working in layers that would combine in unpredictable ways Some artist were literally painting blind. The artist are in motion, subject to constant change.
