For your colored pastel expressive drawing, the foreground of the still life composition is very strong, especially with your use of charcoal. For the origami paper, is there a chance that you can make the edges a little less outlined? Maybe consider a more curvilinear approach or fuzz out some lines to break down the form a bit. As for the background, Could the colored pastel be more blurred and washed out at the top and maybe less so as you get closer to the composition?
Good job experimenting with a variety of painting surface-plexi, wood, etc. Think about the strengths an weaknesses of both and if there are sculptural components to what you are exploring.

Keep up the great work!

ReplyDeleteI really like both the use of mixed media and the spectrum of color. I think you'd do really great with more abstract projects
